Welcome to the homepage of “The┬áPatriot Chaplain!” As Christians, we are to view everything through the lens of God’s Word. In a world that is often a tempest of swirling ideas, conflicting values, bits of information, innuendo, 24/7 media coverage, gossip, half-truths, outright lies, and cunning deception, it can be difficult to discern what is truth. I have learned that when things get crazy in life, and all around me begins to spin, I rest on the words of Jesus, who said to the storm “Peace, be still” (Mark 4:39), and it was so. This same Jesus comforted His disciples with the words, “I am the truth” (John 14:6).

As Americans we have the responsibility to propagate God’s truth to the regions in darkness, to establish–as General Patton said–“thy justice among men and nations.” No nation on Earth has been blessed like America. We have always been, as John Winthrop said, “the shining city on a hill.”

When evaluating the world around us, whether it’s our community, our family, our work, our marriages, or even our politics, the Bible always offers sound guidance–truth–to help us deal with the many storms of life. The thoughts you will find here will touch on all of these things. Some come from my personal experience, others from the experiences of others, but most will come from my personal contemplative reflection…from the perspective of the pot and soil that God has planted me in to fulfill His grand design.

I hope you will find these a blessing! Thanks for stopping by. God bless you! “For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13).
